Hey Mates!!!
I'm so tired that I don't know if I can finish this entry but I am going to try.
The past Tuesday, July 1st, Kim Dyer and I embark on a long but exciting adventure towards Chesapeake and Hampton both in VA. Knowing that I had to drive 6 to 8 hours on Tuesday and Kim doing the same on Wednesday, make me feel worry not for us but for the people there because two young, intelligent, active, responsible ladies were going to VA…jejejeje
Anyway, we had an amazing time there. We visited Koyroonisa Ranshod in Calvary Community Church in Chesapeake, VA and Brittany Hudson at Calvary Community Church in Hampton, VA. Both of the workers are doing wonderful things in their churches and their supervisors and walking with them as well. It was a long trip but we had fun. Also we didn’t get lost; once again thanks to the GPS...jejeje…
We encourage you to keep all of our Summer Service Workers in your prayers and blessings!!!
Don’t forget to keep in touch with the SSP
Blessings!!!
Well once again I'm here telling you a little bit more about my Summer Service visits. This time I had the opportunity to go to Alexandria, VA. I visited Claudia Sanchez one of our Summer Service Worker. This summer she is working with Spanish people especially from El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Guatemala as a translator and tutor. Also her church make a "Kids Fun Club" where she is working during this summer and all the kids are Spanish too. There they have the chance to sing, dance, play, do some crafts, and learn Bible Stories. After my visit to Alexandria, I went to DC and stayed with Becca one of the East Coast Workers there; Thank you Becca for your hospitality...
I left my suitcase inside Becca's house the day I was leaving and I had to do a lot of things to get it back, but because of that I had the chance to meet people in the MCC EC office in DC.
It was a long trip. It took me 3 hours to drive there but it was worth it. To see the faces of all of those kids make me realize how much I love to work with them too. I hope my next experience will be as satisfying as this one.
PS. Thank God for the GPS...jejeje
Blessing!!!

This Summer a lot of good adventures and new things are going to happen to me I know and I feel it...Working as an Intern for the Summer Service Program makes me feel excited about it. Yesterday I had the opportunity to go to NY to visit some of the girls that are going to be working as Summer Service Workers and it was a funny trip. First , Leana one of the workers pick me up at the train station and she got lost at her own train station...jejeje...Then we have to walked like a mile to get to the church where I was suppose to interview them. When we went to eat we stopped at this Chinese restaurant but it didn't look good so we decided to go to a pizza restaurant. We ate a lot there and the food was amazing. During all this time we keep on walking :( but at the end all the interviews turn out to be amazing too. So thank you guys for this wonderful experience.
